E-mail JeremyAt Faith, we believe that beauty and art point the finger directly back to the Glory of God. So we strive for beautiful art.
We also believe that the songs we sing are an opportunity to worship AND focus our thinking on great theology. So we use both old hymns and new songs for worship.
We also believe that the Kingdom of God is to be spread by us (followers of Christ) on earth. So we use a mix of musical styles and artistic traditions. Knowing that God intends for ALL types of people, races, cultural traditions, and styles of music to be used to worship Him. So we value diversity each week.
Here is an example of what we do. "How Great Thou Art" is an old hymn with great theological words, that we added a hip hop beat too...
We believe that people can worship God however they are comfortable. Sitting, standing, dancing, clapping, or whatever. It is the posture of the heart that matters to God. So there is freedom to be who God created you to be at our church.
As the worship leader, I believe that our greatest expression of worship is how we live our lives from sunday to sunday, not just for an hour each week. In giving of ourselves to the causes of Christ, the plight of the poor, and being who God created us to be, we truly worship.
